The possibilities are not endless
In a sense
they have a deadline
a spoiled time
just like on milk
when it is not consumed
and it expires
one’s desires
too
can become wasted
if not digested in a timely manner
one can stammer along
trying to stretch out the shelf life
trying to fight
what is due to transpire
eventually
eventually there comes an end
to possibilities
no longer does one see
with clarity
instead
it sours and curdles to a consistency
i don’t think anyone wants to drink
it even stinks
the foul odor of the forgotten
laying rotten
left beyond it’s no later than date
finally wanting to partake after it’s too late
one wait
-ed
for it to get too far gone
from plausible
and healthy
even the wealthy know
dividends may replace
but one will have to face
that possibilities have an end
because nothing lasts forever
