Guess who’s feeling productive today?!? THIS CHIC!! Aside from my wife and I starting our three-day mad dash to a clean home (we have a management company coming to see the house this week), I also did some backwards planning for Tempted.
April is right around the corner, and with all the things going on right now with us preparing to move while our jobs have us both working some outrageous hours this month, time is precious. So I knew it was high time I not only thought about a plan of action, but also put those actions into a timeline.
This is kind of just a draft outline, but this is what I came up with:
– 2nd or 3rd Week after release: Give-away #2
– 1st week after release: 99cents Sale
– 16 April: Book release
– 1 April: Submit for ISBNs
– 1 March: Give-away #1 and release/post excerpt of novel
– 1 February: Submit novel for copyright and proof copy
– 31 January: Finish final draft and open new checking account (for novel expenses only)
– 19 January: Take a headshot
That’s basically it! It’s a bit fluid, with room to move or add anything. Some things I am also considering building into my plans are:
– a launch party
– book signings
– creating downloadable content
– creating an audio version
– ordering/receiving promotional items
– registering a LLC
– updating the book trailer
– creating a media kit
– email marketing
– creating a sale page on this website
– requesting reviews
– more community interactions
– starting the next novel
Some of those I am sure to join the action plan, but for now I think this will do. ^_^
