I use to want to laugh with you
Have silly lil insides
That rocked my joy to the outside
With you steady by my side
We were so cool
Cool like the side of the pillow we flip to
Go to
To make it through
And receive additional comfort
rocked into the valley of no hurt
just joy
Tickled pink
terminating black ink stains
But now it rains
and laughing with you
is as temperamental as the storm that brews
no philosophical triumph
to sedate the bluff within your grin
the win
loss to an outward cry of pain
and insane-
ity
Once loving what we used to be
Once saying that I cherish thee
But to what degree
when the upside down frown
no longer comes around
and not even an echo of what was
exists
yet
I remember this
That I use to want to laugh with you
Have silly lil insides
That rocked my joy to the outside
With you steady by my side
But we are no longer so cool
