I am a little late, but I am trying to make it so I am a little bit more productive this year than I have been in any other year. I have been watching videos about productivity as long as I can remember, yet generally am horrible at putting what I learn into action.

Well, hopefully the buck stops here!

Not to overwhelm myself, I am going to slowly implement actions that don’t feel anymore intrusive what I already do. Often I make lists on various, colorful stickies and post them on my desktop, the monitor, the folders, stacks of paper, the side of my cubicle, etc. etc.

Unfortunately, because they are all over the place, I do sometimes miss them. Or don’t get to them because I didn’t see the sticky until the last minute and my ride is waiting for me.

I end up feeling like I have accomplished little to nothing that I thought I would.

So, starting today, and of things I am choosing to do to help with productivity is using a calendar app on my phone (which my spouse also has access to). This allows us both to populate it with important dates that are coming up for both of us as well as our doggie-kids. Each one of us have our own colors and can differentiate who’s upcoming events we want to view at any given time.

The app we are using can be used both via the phone and the computer. Both versions are pretty user friendly, but I need to use it more to see if it will be worth paying for more, or trying something else. That is why I am not saying what the app is at this time.

In my next post I will talk about another action I am implementing, but I think this probably enough typing for today.
